We don't know how lucky we are

Been a while since posting last but the sporting world has continued on regardless. There's a Lions tour of NZ to look forward to in June, Lord Brendon is currently smiting the ball to all corners in the IPL and there's plenty of kickball to go in the premiership, racquet bashing in the Summer, and some sailor boys to support in May.

Meantime we lost another great NZ'er last week, John Clarke. As Fred Dagg he had me snorting, giggling and guffawing as a kid and I still find myself humming along to Gumboots from time to time, even to this day. Here's hoping he's making them laugh somewhere else now. He joins a list of mighty heroes that passed away in the last year including Ray Columbus, Murray Ball, Steve Sumner, Chris Amon, and Martin Crowe. All had a mighty impact on my life.

Just remember kids, we don't how lucky we are.
