Poms 42 - Skirt wearers 20

While the scoreline made it seem like a one sided match the skirt wearers played well for about 50 minutes and looked like creating an upset. They reasoned however that Wilkinson would fall apart after 60 (which he unfortunately didn't), and that they themselves wouldn't make any mistakes. However, mistakes they made and they were appalling, with hopeless fools playing on both wings dropping the ball near the try line and virtually gifting points to the poms. Was very disappointed in them.

Anyway Wilko's back and he played a blinder. Still tries to play like a 4th loosie though and cause of that can still see him getting injured again. He tackled some bloke yesterday and got his head on the wrong side, smashed his mouth to pieces, lucky not to lose some teeth. Spent the rest of the day with blood smeared all over him like lipstick - looked like a drunk drag queen. I laughed.

The poms are probably waking up today convincing themselves that they'll win the World Cup again on the strength of Johnny's performance. Just remember, he'll never be an All Black.
